In 2018, 500,000 dedicated animal lovers like you demanded that KFC do the right thing by chickens around the world. And you’ve kept the pressure on them ever since.

Now the Danish fast-food chain has signed the Better Chicken Commitment, which gives meat chickens more room to move and express natural behaviours such as preening and flapping their wings.

With your ongoing support, positive momentum is building. KFC Denmark is just the latest office to sign the Better Chicken Commitment. KFC in Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Germany all signed the commitment last year.

The Better Chicken Commitment requires KFC to ensure the chickens in their supply chain have more room to move and more access to daylight. It also restricts the use of fast-growing chicken breeds who suffer from heart and lung problems, muscle weakness and lameness.

"It is our goal in the creation process to work closely with suppliers and NGOs - including World Animal Protection and Compassion in World Farming – to jointly raise industry standards."

– Marco Schepers, CEO of KFC Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Denmark.

Remember, you did this. Thanks for making your mark for chickens in Denmark.
